(BVRIT for short) is affiliated to the JNTU Hyderabad. It is located about fifty kilometers away from the city – the commuting time to BVRIT being an hour to an hour-and-a-half, depending on where one boards one of the 20 odd BVRIT buses plying from various parts of the city to the campus at Narsapur, Medak District., The drive is across an exquisite expanse of green cover that transports one into a veritable echelon of contentment and heightened expectations. The journey culminates with a panoramic view of what is talked about today as the ‘most happening place’ among educational institutions which sprawls across 110 acres of land more popularly known as the BVRIT campus. BVRIT is part of the Sri Vishnu Educational Society that has in its ambit as many as eleven educational institutions at Narsapur, Medak District and Bhimavaram, W. Godavari District. Most of these Institutions were set up in 1997 thanks to the vision of our Founder Chairman , Padmabhushan Dr. B.V. Raju Garu (1920 – 2002) who was committed to providing access to higher education for the rural regions of A.P. He was not only an altruist but also an educationalist and a visionary with extraordinary acumen. Today, the present Chairman, Sri .V. Vishnu Raju is perpetuating the legacy of quality education to all and is focused on catalyzing the holistic development of the student so that the latter takes his or her rightful place in Society. BVRIT offers 7 courses in Engineering at the undergraduate level (Biomedical, Chemical, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics and Electronics/Communication) and eight courses at the post graduate level (MCA, MBA and 6 courses in engineering – Software Engg, Computer Science Engg, Chemical, VLSI design, Embedded Systems and Power Systems). In order to meet the increasing demand for quality education offered by BVRIT, we will be running an additional shift (second shift) in the Computer Science and EEE streams at the UG level from 2010-11. For those students, who prefer to stay in the campus and enjoy the ambiance of a vibrant campus life, away from the pollution, noise, din, hustle and bustle of the city, BVRIT has hostel facilities for close to 500 boys and girls. The hostel facilities are being augmented perpetually aimed at the harmonious development of a student’s faculties. Efforts are on to make the campus fully residential in the next couple of years.

The present decade is one of innovation and it is innovation that drives the Nation’s economy. The SVES Management is alive to this tenet and spares no effort to promote out-of-the-box thinking among students. The BVRIT Innovation Centre and the Assistive technology laboratory constitute a stepping stone in this direction. An Innovation Research Park is also coming up in the campus on about 11 acres of land that would house various Centres of Excellence in fields as diverse as assistive and embedded technologies, food sciences, life sciences, software, renewable energy and other cutting edge technologies to hone the innovative skills of every student and make him/her ready for the Industry or for pursing higher studies in premier institutes of learning across the globe. At BVRIT we offer training beyond the syllabus. BVRIT has an Institute-Industry Partnership Cell, an Entrepreneur Development Cell and has also been approved as a Technology Business Incubator by the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Industries (MSME). We move in synchronism with what the Industry requires.
