A Blood Donation Camp was orgaised at BVRIT Narsapur in collaboration with NTR Trust, Hyderabad on 20th December 2019.

The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Dr T Rama Krishna Reddy,Sri Maternity & Nursing Home, Narsapur and Dr. K. Lakshmi Prasad, Principal, BVRIT Narsapur on 20/12/2019.  The blood donation camp is organized with collaboration of NTR Trust, Hyderabad.  Total 300 students and staff were donated the blood during the blood donation camp.

Industry Academia Connect Sessions was conducted for III Years Students of ECE, CSE,IT and EEE on 04 January 2020.

Eminent speakers Mr. Venkat Basutkar Global Delivery Partner,TCS-Telangana and Ms. Neeti Soota Cloud Specialist- Corporate & Education,Microsoft India were delivered session on emerging technologies and cloud computing in industry.  The speakers briefed about the current demanding technologies used in industry and how to engage with emerging technologies. The session was ended with Q&A.

BVRIT organised an Introductory workshop on "Stepping towards Problem and Project-Based learning" on 6th & 7th January 2020.

Project Based Learning (PBL) is an instructional methodology that encourages students to learn and apply knowledge and skills through an engaging experience. PBL presents opportunities for deeper learning in-context and for the development of important skills tied to college and career readiness. A two day workshop on “Stepping towards Problem and Project based Learning” has been conducted on 06/01/2020 and 07/01/2020 at our campus. The workshop has been conducted by Dr. Vikas Vithal Shinde, Director, PBL centre of excellence, Vishwaniketan,Mumbai, who completed Ph.D in Project Based Learning (PBL) from Aalborg University Denmark in the year 2014.

Total 300 students and NSS volunteers participated in this program.

Dr.G.Narsimha, NSS Coordinator, JNTUH, addressed about the adverse effects of the drug usage and how it can harm lives. He also made a point on how to help the people who are addicted on the drug usage.

V Nagaiah, CI, Narsapur, addressed about the rate at which students are involved in dealing with drugs. As a police officer, he mentioned the cases he dealt which involved students who were into drugs and alcohol. He also mentioned about the drunk and drive scenarios which may lead to death. He then suggested the students to not get into drugs and alcohol.

Dr K. Lakshmi Prasad, Principal of BVRIT-Narsapur, also addressed on the issues on drug intake. He made a note on the ways which can stop or prevent the drug intake.

Dr Ramesh, Principal of VIPER, one of the chief guests, spoke on the stages of a drug addict, how one can help them get out of it.

Later, a rally was held by the chief guests and students in the campus which was followed by the certificate distribution.

The Drug De-Addiction program was co-ordinated by the NSS Unit of BRIT Narsapur.
