Dr. Ch. Venkateswarlu, the principal of B V Raju Institute of Technology, Narsapur has earlier worked as Scientist, Senior Principal Scientist and Chief Scientist (Director Grade) at Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad, a premier research and development (R&D) institute of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). He did his graduation from Andhra University as well as from Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, and post graduation and Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from Osmania University. He holds 33 years R&D experience along with 17 years teaching experience and 2 years industry experience. His research interests lie in the areas of dynamic process modelling & simulation, process identification & dynamic optimization, process monitoring & fault diagnosis, state estimation & soft sensing, statistical process control & advanced process control, applied engineering mathematics & evolutionary computing, artificial intelligence & expert systems, and bioprocess engineering & bio-informatics. He published more than 85 research papers in international journals of repute along with few international proceeding publications. He is also credited with 65 national conference proceedings and technical paper presentations. Majority of his research papers are of high impact factors and have wide global citations. He has executed 10 R&D projects sponsored by DST and industry. He has delivered more than 80 invited lectures on various specialized topics. He has guided several postgraduate and Ph.D students. He served as a long term guest faculty for premier institutes like Bhaba Atomic Research Centre Scientific Officers Training, BITS Pilani Master level and IICT-CDAC Bioinformatics programs. He received various awards in recognition to his R&D contributions. He is a Fellow of Andhra Pradesh Akademi of Sciences.

Dr. Y. Krishna Reddy, the Principal of B. V. Raju Institute of Technology, Vishnupur, Narsapur, Medak District as earlier worked as professor of Mechanical Engineering CBIT, Hyderabad. He did his graduation from JNTUA, Anantapur(1976-81) and post-graduation from IIT Kharagpur (1981-83). He pursed his doctoral and research work at IIT Kharapur on fill time basis for 3 years on lien from CBIT. He had worked for two years in US on software projects. He has a passion for teaching. He is a life long learner. Learnt and taught many programming languages and CAD packages for Mechanical Engineering students. He was instrumental in computerization of academic & exam cell and controller of exams activities of CBIT.

Some highlights of his career are

  1. Over 33 years of teaching, research and administrative experience and the entire service in CBIT, Hyderabad.
  2. Worked as Principal of one Engineering College in Prakasam District, AP affiliated to JNTUK, Kakinada for two years from Jan 2013 to Jan 2015 on lien from CBIT.
  3. Ratified as Principal by JNTUK, Kakinada in Mar 2014.
  4. Pursued research work at IIT Kharagpur for 3 years on full time basis as an Institute scholar on study leave from CBIT (1989-92).

The faculty of the institute offer quality research training to the students through various in-house and industry collaborative projects. The execution of various sponsored projects granted by DST, UGC and AICTE, and a number of research papers published in SCI/SCOPUS indexed journals indicate the institute’s strength in R&D.
